石欄桿制作是用來模仿牌樓名稱及旌表文字的石板，是牌樓所包涵的歷史文化內(nèi)涵的主要承載處在三開間以上的牌樓中，位于主要匾額兩旁的板形構(gòu)件稱為花板，其中主要的用途是雕繪各種花紋圖案，以襯托牌匾額，突出牌樓的裝飾性。
